A rainy evening

I am working on a recruitment assignment and it's raining outside! I can hear the rains pouring out of my window and can feel the breeze. After a hectic day in college (the day when I don't get to teach is a hectic day for me) with lots of meetings and thorough discussions, new dance groups coming to me and urging for auditions, filing work, updating students' projects work status and all. Tiresome! Then I went to a client in MIDC Hingna for another meeting.

And reached home at 4 pm. Had some rest, some TV (surfing sort) some chat and masti with kids. Back to work now!

Suddenly sky turned black and thunderstorms and then rains! I am working on my laptop, a cup of coffee, song of Mukesh. . . Life is poetic.

Feeling bad that I can't join tomorrow's walk-athlon by wokhardt. I have lectures for MBA students in the morning and then Parent teacher meeeting at Kids' school.

Bye for now!

Nothing special about today. A lazy Sunday, a mysterious book of Narayan Dharap, kids and rest. Going out in the evening with family to watch Ganapatis.

Be Present

Isn't it that PRESENT is the best PRESENT we are gifted with ? Future never comes and past can never be called back. But we can be aware in present. We can live this moment. (The song sung by Chaitanya sir "ho sake to is me zindagi bita do kal ye jo jane wala hai"). We are happy only when we are in present. We don't enjoy eating while eating, driving while driving, concentrate on studies while studying and so on.

I am reading "Influencers" and at the same time also engaged in writing a Marathi drama for state competition. But I remember the book " The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. We can say that this book itself is one of the strong influencers.

Anyways. . . 3 days leave. Today is Ganesh Chaturthi and tommorow is Sunday. For me the major work for this week end is completing the drama script, reading book " Influencers" , checking answer papers of SSM and taking kids to see Ganapati Bappa.

Bye for now!

Influencers

I have started reading a new book - Influencers : The Power to change anything.
What makes this book different from other ones ?
This book is the outcome of a research conducted by a team on how few people around the world could influence masses. They studied various such cases and listed down the common characteristics of such influencers. Thus the results are transparent , honest and time tested.

I would like to recommend this book to all who need to influence their own lives and have a need to influence to those of others.

I love being with students. The clip above is from our Industrial visit to Ankur Seeds Pvt. Ltd. kalameshwar plant. We took students of BBA II & III and it was a wonderful event. Saraf sir, the plant head of Ankur seeds was happy to see the students' discipline and it was a kind gesture of Ankur Seeds that they served tea to all of us. Point to note is that we were not less than 100 !

After the Industrial visit we went to Adasa, the famous Ganesh temple and had our tiffins and lot of MASTI.

Let's see where we take them this year !!

Teacher's day!

Yesterday was 6th September and students of my class celebrated belated teacher's day! BBA final year class is as usual a very happening and joyful and live class. You can find all .. respect, love as well as naughtiness in their eyes. There was a big cake and all related teachers were invited to cut the cake. For the whole day they were in a mood of celebration. quite emotional touch, flowers, greetings, chocolates etc. They asked me to sing a song so I tried to sing two lines of Mukesh. Song by Prasoon, story by Afzal and thoughts by Saurabh Heda were nice. Rahul & Swati mimed Chaitanya sir very well. I wonder why they could not perform my mimicry in front of me ? Well. You just can't know how and what the students think!

I feel nice being a teacher and adds much responsibility to me as a person.

I have started writing this blog today and would probably write with only three basic threads :
1. Honesty
2. Passion for teaching
3. simplicity.

Somebody has rightly said " It is difficult to be simple".
So. . . bye for today!
